Most of you know that God’s Daily Word Ministries operates two schools in Kenya, one outside of Nairobi in the area of Mathare, and the other in the fishing village of Gudwa on the shore of Lake Victoria. Between the two schools we give instruction, meals, uniforms, and the love of Christ to over 150 children.
Each year we like to take the children on a special trip, outside of their community. This is a special time which expands their world, is instructive, and generally a very good time. We hire buses and go to a wildlife park, similar to going to the zoo. In the past, the children have really enjoyed these trips and talk about their adventure for quite some time.
We generally fund these trips out of our general operating budget but I was wondering if there might be a family or an organization that would be interested in sponsoring one of the trips this year. Each trip costs approximately $500, which includes transportation, admission fees, and lunch. The trips will occur within the next two weeks.
