It would not be proper to give an update on our twelve year old daughter without first saying thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement. I’m convinced that your prayers have made a difference in our lives during these last few weeks. Cancer is a difficult issue to face, especially when it attacks a young child; but God has been there every step of the way, and we trust He will continue to walk with us until the end of this current journey.
Of course, many people have been asking how we are doing; and I truly have to say, we are doing great! Kaylee is recovering well from the surgery, she has a wonderfully positive attitude, our marriage is strong, our family unity is solid, our faith is unshaken, and our ministry opportunities have actually increased, particularly through our sixteen year old daughter, Sarah, at the Ronald McDonald House here in Houston. Sure this dark cancer cloud hangs over everything, but, so far, the wind and rain have been relatively mild.
Kaylee will be readmitted to MD Anderson in the morning to begin her first round of chemotherapy. She will need three additional rounds of treatment over the next two months with each round lasting a full week. There are many unknowns regarding side effects, but God has given us all a good measure of peace. Please pray that the side effects will be minimal and that His peace will continue.
Prayer Makes A Difference!
