Kenya Food Baskets

This has been a truly amazing year for our ministry in Kenya. Last year, at this time, I made a request for a building project for our school in the very impoverished area of Mathare, outside of Nairobi. Your response throughout the year was outstanding and we were able to complete two floors of the school and begin work on the third. Classrooms are now being fully utilized. Thank you so much!!

Through the month of December I will be detailing more about our needs for 2017. However, in this message I want to let you know about a community outreach project we try to do each December. The families of the children who attend our school struggle greatly with things most of us take for granted. Having a single room to call home and food to eat each day can never be assumed. We help at the school by providing all students with morning and afternoon porridge as well as a full lunch. We don’t have resources to do much for the families outside of the school setting, but once or twice a year we try to give out food baskets to all the parents and some additional families in the community. This help is always greatly appreciated!

This year we would like to distribute at least 150 baskets full of supplies like flour, beans, rice, oil, sugar, and spices. Each basket will cost about $20 to fill and will provide a big help through the Christmas season. We would like to start gathering supplies now and distribute the baskets in mid December. If you can help us fund this project, please make a donation of any size by either clicking on the Donate Now button or by sending a check to:
