It seems like every business on the internet is sending out emails today about special savings for purchases made on Cyber Monday. Well, I don’t have anything for sale. However, I do have a way for you to be a blessing to others.
In my last update message (click here if you want to read) I detailed some ministry needs with our school in Kenya. Specifically I wrote about the plot next to our school and the food bag distribution project. We have received almost all of the necessary funds for the plot – Praise God!
We are still in need of funds for our food bag distribution which will be taking place in a few weeks. This is a project we try to do each year close to the Christmas break when families are in need of a little extra help with food items. This year we are trying to hand out 200 food bags to the families of our school kids and to those in the immediate community. Each bag will consist of wheat flour, rice, corn flour, sugar, cooking oil, soap, and salt. Each bag will cost $20. Each bag will help meet a very real physical need, but will also speak to powerful spiritual truths. We will be distributing the bags at the end of a community service in which the gospel message and love of Christ will be preached in a powerful way. If we are able to raise more funds for this project, we will increase the amount in each bag and then also try to distribute more bags.
