Riding For Cancer – Update

This week was my best, and last difficult, bike training week. I was able to ride 300 miles in four consecutive days which is only 28 miles less than the actual American Cancer Society ride in Ohio, beginning in two and a half weeks. My legs are quite sore but I’m pleased I was able to ride well and feel I am prepared to complete the ride.

I will write one more time before leaving for the ride, but I want to make sure and thank all those who are supporting this ride. We have raised over $12,000 so far – thanks!! This money will be used primarily in support of cancer victims and their families. Our family certainly understands how important this support can be during such intensely difficult seasons.

You can follow the progress of this fundraising effort and make donations through the following link:

If you prefer, you can also send a check, made out to the American Cancer Society, to our ministry address listed at the bottom of this message and I will make sure it gets to the correct place.

Even if you never feel led to donate to this kind of cause, I would encourage you to pray for the families involved with cancer. It can be frightening, devastating, and humbling. It can tear families apart or it can bring them closer together; it can cause people to turn away from God or cause them to draw nearer and trust Him more. This is a group of people who truly need our prayers.

Have a Christ Centered Day!
