Cancer Update

Wow! What a difference six months can make. Six months ago our 13 year old daughter, Kaylee, had been diagnosed with an advanced stage of ovarian cancer and we were struggling through surgeries and several rounds of chemotherapy. We shaved her head on her birthday in March, she rarely smiled, and it was a struggle for her to walk even from the bed to the bathroom. That was a difficult season!!

The treatment plan was successful and the three month scan in August showed no signs of cancer. Thank you so much for your prayers! There is always a threat of the cancer returning and we will need to have continuing scans (the next one is scheduled for late November) but at this point we couldn’t ask for better progress.

Today, Kaylee is vibrant, energetic, definitely lovely! I am very proud to say that she is training for a 5K run in December to help raise money for the St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital in Memphis TN.

In July I biked 340 miles across Ohio in 4 days for the American Cancer Society. This event was a wonderful success and I praise God for your support. For the St. Jude event, several more family members will be involved. My wife, Sherry, will be running with Kaylee in the 5K run, while my son, Shawn, and daughter, Sarah (pictured above with Kaylee), will be joining me in running the half marathon. This will be the first 5K for Sherry and Kaylee, and the first half marathon for Shawn and Sarah. This is an exciting season!

I would greatly appreciate your support for this event. St. Jude is dedicated to researching cancer and treating children with cancer. I believe they are making a difference in this battle. The link for my donation page is located at:

Thanks so much for your support!

Have a Christ Centered Day!

I am humbled. May the Good Lord continue healing my little girl Kaylee. Just like he is currently healing me after I was hit by a motorcycle which left my left hip totally shattered. It had to be replaced with a metallic equipment.

My gratitude to our Lord and Master of the Universe, Jesus Christ, Amen.
